Our Client is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide service in Baltimore, MD.

Hours

School Hours - Mon to Friday (8am to 4pm)

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Establish and maintain a safe physical environment conducive to learning.
• Plan and execute enrichment experiences such as field trips.
• Write required reports / keep accurate and orderly records.
• Work effectively with other staff members in the interdisciplinary setting to address students' needs.
• Participate effectively in Interdisciplinary Meetings, staff / teacher meetings, Admission, Review, and Dismissal Committee Meetings, Planning Conferences, in-service training programs, Faculty Meetings.
• Provide guidance and direction to assigned Program Aide or Assistant Teacher, ensuring that the Program Aide or Assistant Teacher demonstrates a participating role within the classroom.
• Expand on; adapt current curriculum programs to meet student needs.
• Develop individualized education plans for all assigned students.
• Implement school-wide behavior management system.
• Share with other staff coverage for lunch periods, school trips and late bus duty and library.
• Perform other professional duties, as requested.
