Job Title : Senior Security Operations Engineer

Location : Hybrid – Onsite presence in Richmond, VA required as per project needs.

Job Overview : We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Operations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in information systems security, including intrusion detection / prevention systems, firewalls, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and cloud security (Azure preferred). This role will contribute directly to the organization's technology roadmap, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all information assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise-level security infrastructure and systems.
• Identify and mitigate network and information security risks across the organization.
• Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to plan, deploy, and secure network projects.
• Partner effectively with the Office of Information Security (OIS) and other IT divisions.
• Develop, document, and maintain system policies, procedures, and configuration standards.
• Conduct network scans, penetration tests, and analyze system logs for potential threats.
• Evaluate vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts with business and technical teams.
• Participate in Azure cloud solution reviews and assess related network and security configurations.
• Coordinate and document incident handling, investigation, and resolution processes.
• Support audits and reviews with ISO teams and IT auditors, ensuring compliance and corrective actions.
• Maintain current documentation for devices, configurations, and operational procedures.
