Job descriptionProvide 24 / 7 leadership for the surgical services department, including OR, PreOp, PACU, PAT, Endo, and SPD. Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and team engagement. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and safety protocols. Manage the department’s financial performance, including budgeting and capital equipment requests. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team. Oversee 12+ ORs, 2 endo suites, and 154 FTEs, handling 7,000+ cases annually. Drive growth in complex service lines, including spine, ortho, and neuro. Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and staff. Lead recruitment, development, and retention efforts for the surgical services team. Monitor and improve key performance metrics to ensure operational excellence. Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred. Current RN license in California or eligibility to obtain. CNOR (Certified Nursing Operating Room) and CSSM (Certified Surgical Services Manager) preferred. Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume, complex surgical services environment.
