SUMMARY
This position description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.

Collaborates with nursing management and staff across departments to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing personnel and non-nursing personnel as indicated or requested.
The incumbent acts as a key resource in the orientation and continuing education of nursing staff provides consultation, coordination and support in the planning, implementation and daily operations of clinical education and nursing quality in conjunction with the Nursing Department.
Facilitates the integration of technology, data, information and knowledge to support the provision of patient care. Works with clinical staff to optimize appropriate usage of current and future information systems through education and training.
Ensures systems support data integrity, security, and delivery of safe, quality patient care and are utilized appropriately and consistently with established technical, quality and regulatory standards.
Other services may include, but are not limited to process, performance and service-delivery consultation and contributions to the organization through ad-hoc or permanently established councils, committees and workgroups
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education : Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California; MSN preferred.
- Minimum Experience : Five (5) years experience in an Acute Care setting
- Required License / Certifications : Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California, Current Basic Life Support (AHA) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support up (AHA) on hire.
Basic Arrhythmia Certification (any new hire after 2019), NIHSS Certification and ABM / MAB within 60 days of hire, annual thereafter.

- Physical Requirements : Possesses the physical abilities, including heavy lifting, perceptive acuity (i.e. visual, hearing) to satisfactorily perform all direct / indirect patient care functions.
