Now hiring Welders! 1st and 2nd shift, $25-$32+ / hr

Job Description

Perform basic fit-up operations in preparation for welding, generally on high-turn stock and standard products. Use fixtures when available and appropriate. Provide set-up for welding operations and perform MIG welding on products with medium complexity of moving parts and medium tolerances. Regularly weld plate thicknesses up to 3 / 8" and occasionally up to 1 / 2". Ensure welds are free from defect and meet blueprint and traveler specifications. Meet welding time and quality standards as established by the organization. Ensure fit-up and weld operations are completed at a level to ensure organizational profitability. May perform minor assembly periodically and use an overhead crane to position weldments. Comply with all safety rules and regulations and ensure a safe and clean work environment.

Essential Skills

  • MIG welding experience.
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in welding up to 3 / 8".
  • Mastery of fabrication of all stock and 65% of standard products.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use hand plasma and air arc tools.
  • Certification for overhead crane use.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to earn a MIG welding certificate.
  • MIG and TIG welding experience.
  • Experience with fabrication and flux core welding.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes a manufacturing shop equipped with CNC machines, welders, and grinders, as well as assembly and shipping departments. The facility operates on two shifts : 1st Shift from 6 am to 2 : 30 pm with overtime on the front end, and 2nd Shift from 2 : 00 pm to 12 : 30 am with overtime on Fridays or longer days.     The pay range for this position is $49566.40 - $74339.20 / yr.
