Senior Full Stack Engineer (REMOTE) based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan or Indonesia

MeetKai is looking for a senior full stack engineer with a multitude of experience to write robust, beautiful and responsive web applications. You will be responsible for building and maintaining said applications while adding features to serve business needs. The ideal candidate will have a multitude of experience around a frontend web framework and a backend framework like micronaut.

As the software engineering lead in Asia, you must be highly professional, coach your team members, and always strive for excellence on behalf of the team.

Responsibilities- Technical oversight, providing expert-level knowledge while taking an active part in the team tasks- Monitor the overall development life-cycle, from design / planning to implementation and support to maintain a high standard of software quality- Work closely alongside our CEO and US-based team leads- Build highly scalable APIs that are deployed via CI / CD pipelines- Recruit and train new team members for the APAC region, hold accountability for their performance- Uphold MeetKai code standards and quality, introduce new tools that help achieve optimal results

• 5 or more years of relevant working experience
• Applicant must be based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan or Indonesia- Experience in java / kotlin, golang, or python- Experience working with a database such as Postgres, Redis, MySql- Experience with Continuous Integration / Deployment- Experience with Event Driven Architecture (kafka, rabbitmq, redis streams)- Deadline oriented, organized- Great communication and leadership skills
• Experience with responsive web design techniques like CSS flexbox
• Experience working with front end languages like JavaScript- Experience working on server-side web applications- Fluency in a 2nd language : Chinese (Mandarin / Cantonese / Taiwanese), Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai, Japanese, Korean
