As a Consulting Remote Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, preparing month-end ledgers, preparing incurred cost submissions, uploading payroll in Costpoint, 1099 Form Preparation, managing fixed assets, handling accounts payable and billing. Your experience with DCAA and DCMA will be a considerable asset to our team.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Perform bank reconciliations, review and analyze financial statements and reports.

2. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

3. Prepare month-end ledgers and incurred cost submissions.

4. Upload payroll in Costpoint and handle the preparation of 1099 forms.

5. Oversee the management of fixed assets and handle accounts payable and billing duties.

6. Ensure compliance with DCAA and DCMA regulations and guidelines.

7. Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, and other projects requested by senior management.

8. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.

9. Review and improve existing accounting systems and procedures.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the healthcare industry.

3. Proven experience with bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, preparing month-end ledgers, preparing incurred cost submissions, uploading payroll in Costpoint, 1099 Form Preparation, managing fixed assets, handling accounts payable and billing.

4. Solid knowledge and understanding of DCAA and DCMA regulations.

5. Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software systems.

6. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.

7. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and balance multiple tasks.

9. Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
