Lab Technician : Job Description :
Job Description :
- Maintain stock cultures in the lab
- Media and solution preparation
- Able to perform aseptic technique with a low percentage of contamination
- Biological testing of products
- Routine laboratory cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Become familiar and stay current on relevant scientific literature
- Assist with the preparation and writing of documentation for products
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and guidelines (OSHA, Federal and State Local Laws)
- Updates job knowledge by participating in in-house training and safety meetings.
- Enhances product quality and company goals; accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications :
- BS degree in College of Biological / Plant Sciences or associates
- 2+ years wet laboratory and plant tissue culture experience (preferred)
- Good problem-solving abilities and a basic understanding of experimental design
- Excellent organizational, writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) Pay :
- $20 / hour
- $20 / hour
Shift :
Monday through Friday, 8am-5 : 30pm
