Job Title : Receiving Clerk
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and recording all incoming shipments. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains organized storage areas, and supports warehouse operations by coordinating with vendors, drivers, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify delivery documents such as packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Record and update inventory in the system promptly and accurately.
- Label, tag, and store materials in designated locations.
- Communicate discrepancies or damaged goods to the purchasing or management team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment (if certified).
- Assist with cycle counts, stock rotation, and general warehouse tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous warehouse or receiving experience preferred.Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory systems a plus.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand / walk for extended periods.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and teamwork skills.Skills :
