Certified Coding Education Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Education Specialist responsible for overseeing the operational functions of the Professional Coding Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor professional billing coding staff while managing day-to-day operations

Conduct quality assurance reviews and provide training and feedback to coding staff on coding practices

Analyze coding denials and trends, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer regulations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

CPC - Certified Professional Coder certification required

Minimum of five years of coding experience, including education and mentoring roles

At least three years of management experience in a coding environment

Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions and hospital reimbursement methodologies
