Infrastructure Engineer, Linux

About the role :

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will manage, maintain, and optimize Linux-based server environments across enterprise infrastructure. Your role involves system installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and network services while ensuring high availability and security compliance.

You will provide comprehensive system administration services including user account management, file system administration, backup and recovery operations, security hardening, and performance tuning. You'll deliver Day II operations support including patch management, system updates, log analysis, incident response, and capacity planning while maintaining established SLAs and uptime requirements.

This role is contingent on contract award.

What we are looking for :

Associate : Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience or Master's degree. Works on assignments requiring judgment and initiative under supervision. Develops solutions to technical problems of limited to moderate scope following established procedures.

Standard : Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or PhD. Works independently providing technical solutions to complex problems with considerable latitude in approaches.

Senior : Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 7+ years of experience, or PhD with 4+ years of experience. Recognized authority providing innovative solutions to complex technical problems and leading advanced development efforts.

Experience with RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu, shell scripting (Bash / Python), Apache / Nginx, MySQL / PostgreSQL, VMware / KVM, Ansible / Puppet, Nagios / Zabbix, rsync / tar backup solutions, iptables / firewalld, LDAP / Active Directory integration, and AWS / Azure cloud platforms.

Highly preferred :

• Linux certification (RHCE, LPIC, CompTIA Linux+).
• Advanced automation and configuration management experience.
• Enterprise backup and disaster recovery implementation experience.
