Job descriptionPathologist with at least 3 years of post-residency Hospital experience Trained in Breast Pathology is preferred Trained in Genitourinary Pathology is preferred Experience in signing out complex cases Experience in signing a high volume of GI cases Ability to communicate with colleges and leadership Required : Board Certified in Anatomical Pathology, Surgical Pathology or cytopathology Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Florida. Ability to work independently. Experience working with high volume. Responsibilities :
- Provide accurate and timely diagnosis of the presence and stage of disease from a tissue specimen, utilizing appropriate laboratory procedures. Confers with other physicians as needed;
- Takes the initiative to improve quality in the workplace;
- Provide intra-operative consultations;
- Provides advice to referring physicians regarding the clinical significance of laboratory findings.
