The Director of Special Events is responsible for the planning and implementation of Beth Israel Lahey Health's comprehensive events program, including fundraising events (galas, golf tournaments, 5K walk / run, etc.), donor recognition and stewardship events, building dedications, and other special events. Provides leadership, administrative oversight and strategic direction to the Special Events team. In addition, the Director has responsibility for the planning, organization and operation of annual and project specific reporting designed to analyze and evaluate the efficacy of all events. Responsible for developing and managing programs and activities designed to cultivate and recognize principal, major and annual outright and planned giving prospects and donors, coordinating such efforts with the senior management team and staff within Philanthropy.

Sedentary work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally in carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling objects. Sitting most of the time, with walking and standing required only occasionally
