The selected candidate will have a pivotal role in developing extensive computing infrastructure to support data analysis and enhance core density for the company’s data center modernization and workload consolidation initiatives.

The primary objective is to achieve quicker access to critical data and information, tailored to meet the specific requirements and workflows of the trading industry.

The focus will be on constructing high-performance trading systems and scalable infrastructure that remains competitive in the market, with a strong emphasis on low-latency networking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance trading systems and infrastructure.
  • Solve a variety of problems with high degrees of difficulty, such as managing scarce bandwidth resources and responding to market events with extremely low latency.
  • Accelerate network infrastructure and trading system components with high-speed hardware designs.
  • Research new low-latency techniques and identify opportunities for integration with the trading system.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary of software developers, and infrastructure engineers.
  • Work with AMD Solarflare X2 series Ethernet network adapters designed for high-performance electronic trading environments.
  • Provide low-level control of network interfaces at the application level, allowing our company to better design systems to scale and stay competitive.
  • Utilize Virtex UltraScale+ FPGAs to meet the exponential growth of data demands with smart network and data center solutions that reach beyond fixed-function silicon devices.
  • Work with AMD Alveo U55C and Alveo UL3524 adaptable accelerator cards to improve latency and performance.

Key Requirements

  • Experience designing FPGAs / ASICs in VHDL or Verilog.
  • Experience coding in VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, C, or C++.
  • Experience with digital simulators and self-checking test benches.
  • Ability to work closely with software developers to rapidly deliver integrated systems.
  • Strong understanding of large-scale compute and data center modernization.
  • Experience in high-performance electronic trading environments as plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with iterative feedback loops.
  • Strong communication skills.
