American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute rehab team, requiring 18+ months acute hospital OT experience and IN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Inpatient hospital setting focused on acute rehabDay shifts, Monday through Friday plus one weekend day per monthWork with patients across all acuity levels, from ICU to progressive carePatient caseload includes CABG and cardiac procedures, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, fracture repairs, respiratory illnesses, dementia, MS, Parkinson's, and mobility impairmentsFloat required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitalsTeam includes 19 rehab professionalsCerner EMR is used and Cerner experience is preferredEvaluate, develop, and follow plans of care including ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and activities to improve functionDaily assessment for discharge disposition recommendationsWork collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary rehab teamMust be able to float within the hospital system as neededFirst-time travelers are acceptedRoyal blue scrubs with black shoes are requiredMust be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidaysAuto-approval for up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off; more requires approvalFormer employees must be separated for at least 12 months before reapplying as travelersIN residents are considered local; local candidates accepted for this allied health position\n \n Requirements\n
Current IN Occupational Therapist license or Compact license in hand prior to start date; license required if applicableMinimum 18 months to 2 years of acute hospital OT experienceCurrent BLS (AHA or RQI accepted)Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNENBCOT certification requiredManual Therapy and Lymphedema certifications or licenses preferredExperience with Cerner EMR preferred\n Benefits\n
