Job descriptionLead 5 direct supervisors and guide over 70 indirect reports across shipping, inventory, and dock operations. Optimize operations in a temperature-controlled (cold / frozen) distribution environment. Drive performance and morale through data-backed coaching and real-time labor adjustments. Own team productivity through WMS and LMS tools (Blue Yonder, etc.). Be the last line of defense ensuring accuracy, safety, and on-time departures. Set vision and daily priorities for warehouse operations and hold teams accountable to key performance indicators (KPIs). Lead continuous improvement projects that improve accuracy, safety, and throughput. Use data and reports to redeploy labor, address productivity gaps, and solve operational bottlenecks. Collaborate with transportation, FSQ, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and execute shift goals. Champion servant leadership : coach, mentor, and elevate your direct supervisors while developing frontline talent. Leadership Reach : Influence 70+ team members and serve as the day-to-day operations lead for your shift. Visibility : Work cross-functionally and gain exposure to executive leadership. Fast-Paced Environment : High-volume, high-tempo operation that rewards smart decisions and adaptability. Upward Mobility : Clear path toward roles like Inventory Manager, Warehouse Director, 3PL Manager, or cross-functional supply chain leadership. 710 years in warehouse / distribution leadership, preferably with perishables or cold storage. Experience overseeing large teams through direct leaders (e.g., supervisors or leads). Comfortable using WMS / LMS platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder) to drive daily performance. Strong command of KPIs : pick accuracy, order fill rates, on-time departure, team productivity. Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, OSHA, or related compliance preferred. Continuous improvement mindset (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma) a plus. Able to start at 5 : 00 AM and work flexible hours based on production needs. Strategic Operator : Thinks beyond daily fire-fighting to improve systems and people. Servant Leader : Elevates others while holding high standards. Data-Savvy : Uses metrics to diagnose problems and drive solutions. Resilient & Agile : Leads confidently in a dynamic, high-volume warehouse environment.
