This role leads the design and implementation of new systems and upgrades for manufacturing, focusing on packaging line enhancements and increasing production efficiency.

This position is based in Columbus, Mississippi.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance teams on plant controls issues.
• Follow all plant rules and policies related to C&I work.
• Train hourly E&I personnel in necessary skills and responsibilities.
• Plan, design, and supervise C&I work within your area.
• Document all installations and updates in CMMS, engineering drawings, and EDMS.
• Assess spare parts needs and request supplies as necessary.
• Work safely in all seasonal conditions, including climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Understand plant processes to facilitate work across areas.
• Troubleshoot process and hardware issues.
• Establish and maintain standards.
• Design and develop software applications and modify technical code.
• Maintain PLC systems and implement automation projects.
• Stay informed on material handling automation systems.
• Use CMMS for preventative maintenance and inventory management.
