Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Charlotte, NC 28204 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Contract Duration : 13 weeks (option to extend up to 26 weeks) Shift : 12-hour days (06 : 45 - 19 : 15) Hours per Week : 36 Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Unit : Labor & Delivery (Delivery Room) Patient Ratios : 2 : 1 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) Orientation : 24 hours Scrubs : Provided (blue) Estimated weekly salary : $1810 - $1860 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a high-volume hospital (>

300 births per month required; 3 years preferred) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state (must be in hand by start date) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred; C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN) Experience circulating for C-sections and providing immediate newborn care Competency in sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and high-risk antepartum / postpartum care Epic charting experience required Ability to float to Special Maternity Care (high-risk OB) as needed First-time travel nurses accepted with relevant experience Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to obstetrical patients (16 weeks gestation), including high-risk antepartum and postpartum care Manage double labor assignments and support a high volume of births (average 20 births per 24 hours) Perform and document assessments, interventions, and evaluations for mothers and newborns Circulate for scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births and assist with rescue cervical cerclage procedures Conduct sterile vaginal exams, initiate and maintain IVs, and provide immediate newborn care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy Float to high-risk OB units as needed based on census and skill set Precept and orient new staff members as required Maintain accurate documentation using Epic and follow SBAR communication protocols Why Choose Charlotte, NC?
