About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Tax with a strong background in public accounting and a focus on business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive client contact, expanding the business practice, and coaching staff on business development strategies. This role requires the ability to cultivate new clients, increase services to existing clients, and ensure the team meets budgeted goals. The Managing Director will also be involved in the ongoing planning, marketing, and business development of a specialized department, as well as managing the department's billing and fee collection. Applicants for the Managing Director of Tax position at the company should have a Master's degree in accounting, taxation, or a related field, with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 10 years' experience in public accounting or a related field, along with 10 years of supervisory experience, is required. The ideal candidate will have an active CPA or equivalent certification, be adept at managing deadlines, and have a proven track record of high business integrity, client service, and leadership skills. Proficiency in relevant technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed are also essential. The role may involve direct profit responsibility for a specialty practice and participation in the Senior Operations Management Team.
