Job Summary
Caterpillar is looking for an experienced product manager to join our owner's experience digital product management team in our journey to shape the future of how we best support our customers. In this role, you will lead a product team to be advocates and bring passion and empathy for helping some of the hardest working people on the planet - Cat customers and dealers. Through partnership with our customers, dealers, business partners, as well as peer product and engineering teams, you will shape digital strategies, roadmaps, and experiences that both transform and simplify our customers' day-to-day work and how they interact with the Cat brand, products, and services. This will be accomplished by first seeking to understand our customers' needs and workflow, as well as our business objectives. You will then translate those needs into compelling experiences, requirements, and ultimately execution of a roadmap through multiple scrum teams. Your job is to help our customers do their job better - building a better world in the process!

Effective communications : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Software change request management : Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
Software engineering : Knowledge of software engineering; ability to deliver new or enhanced fee-based software products.
Software product business knowledge : Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
Software product management : Knowledge of software product management; ability to operate and manage software product development projects at all stages of the product development lifecycle.
Software product technical knowledge : Knowledge of technical aspects of a software product; ability to design, configure, and integrate technical aspects of software products.
Marketing strategy and positioning : Knowledge of market research, segmentation, and channels; ability to use business models to develop and implement marketing strategies, objectives, and tactics as well as establishing a communications plan.

Summary Pay Range
$144,960.00 - $235,440.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
