Join Our Foundry Team as an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician
Picture your morning starting at 6 : 00 AM in a busy foundry where production relies on well-tuned equipment. You’ll step into a hands-on role that blends troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance to keep machinery humming and people safe.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
From opening bell to shift end at 2 : 00 PM, you’ll move between mechanical and electrical tasks with a focus on learning, precision, and teamwork. Early on, you’ll receive structured training; as you grow, your routine will become steady and predictable.
- Diagnose and fix equipment issues across electrical systems, heating, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and furnaces.
- Use blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to pinpoint and solve mechanical problems.
- Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, and related equipment.
- Complete routine care such as cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other moving parts.
- Coordinate with outside vendors to source spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Assist with preventative maintenance on weekly, monthly, and annual schedules.
- Perform pipe work (bend, cut, thread, and seal joints) as needed.
- Install conduit and pull wire for electrical runs.
- Support building and facility upkeep as directed by your supervisor.
- Participate in weekly, monthly, and annual EHS inspections to reinforce a safe workplace.
- Keep your work area clean and orderly while maintaining a respectful, professional demeanor.
Schedule and Pay
Hours : Monday–Friday, 6 : 00 AM–2 : 00 PMCompensation : $25.00–$30.00 per hour, BOEBenefits
