Job Title : Industrial Engineering Manager
Location : On-site in Dallas, TX
Our client, a 3PL and warehouse provider, is looking for an Industrial Engineering Manager. This role is fully on-site and 40-50% travel.
Responsibilities :
- Keep informed of best-in-class tools and techniques needed for solution design
- Track all projects and provide communication and guidance to engineering leadership
- Determine and enlist resources required to support targeted changes in support of CI project including WMS Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, Quality, Etc.
- Analyze workflow including inbound, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping and VAS processes to ensure accuracy and ability to execute
- Ensures all distribution system functionality is configured to optimize performance (e.g., WMS, LMS)
- Performs special research or technical studies critical to logistic support functions
- Performs cost / benefit tradeoff analysis and develop ROI business cases for recommended projects involving process, system, or technology change
- Develops logistics engineering strategies with the engineering leadership team
- May participate in “Quality Planning” (QP) sessions with new clients validating requirements and processes
Qualifications :
Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse / 4walls) environment.Prior leadership positions directing Logistics Engineers in 3PL / supply chain environmentPreferred :
7 years’ experience in a supply chain (warehouse / 4walls) environment.Green Belt Six Sigma / Lean CertifiedExperience dealing with end users, vendors, and clientsExperience in 3PL environmentE-commerce experience including starting up small to large volume solutionsExperience in multiple warehouse automation applications (Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, Voice Pick, conveyor design, etc.)Experience in LMS implementation and / or steady state executionStrong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
