The pharmacy section of BMCHS is a broad, complex organization made up of both hospital and health plan pharmacy service lines. With more than 700 FTEs and $1B in revenue, BMC hospital pharmacy is a crucial part of both the broader hospital and system operations.
Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer, the Executive Director of Specialty and Ambulatory Pharmacy provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for pharmacy service lines including specialty pharmacy, home infusion, ambulatory pharmacy, and infusion services. This role drives innovation, advances health equity, optimizes performance, and leads multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered pharmaceutical care across the continuum. The Executive Director will also lead government advocacy, policy engagement, and 340B program stewardship to position BMCHS as a national leader in equitable, innovative, and sustainable pharmacy care.
This role is accountable for advancing quality, safety, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and growth across these service lines. The Executive Director ensures all legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements are met across BMCHS, affiliates, and satellites, while upholding the organization’s mission and values.

Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience : Advanced degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) or related field required, or B.S. in Pharmacy plus equivalent experience. Ten or more years of progressive Pharmacy or related optimization or business experience.
Preferred Education and Experience : Experience in an academic medical center; MBA or MHA.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Required : Valid license as a pharmacist in the State of Massachusetts.
