Job description.buttontext5586999d5c42d3aa a{ border : 1px solid transparent; .buttontext5586999d5c42d3aa a : focus{ border : 1px dashed #d40f7d !important; outline : none !important; Manage the design, development, and implementation of wood fiber composite panel production processes Oversee raw material screening and routine testing Manage experiments to evaluate the use of alternate raw materials Facilitate raw material qualification events in conjunction with research and plant operations teams Orchestrate process validation exercises Act as a crucial link in capital project pipeline development with accurate data capture and thorough analysis. Also responsible for development of process specs and CTQs to be used in capital equipment specification. Provide data analysis and technical support to manufacturing and quality functions. Develop process documentation including work instructions, control plans and visual aids Provide process related training to operations personnel to enhance troubleshooting skills Work with equipment suppliers, Quality Managers, and other technical staff to stabilize and control manufacturing processes if they waver. Serve as a process expert for the site composite panel production processes Train and mentor team members on composite panel production and testing best practices and safety procedures. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for composite panel issues. Support lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to cost reduction efforts. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Wood Science Minimum of 5 years of experience in wood fiber composite panel production. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Effective communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus. Demonstrated ability to drive measured improvement in key areas of operations Strong technical knowledge and process capabilities Business and financial acumen Strong critical thinking and analytical skills Strong communication skills - comfortable engaging all levels of the organization High level of resourcefulness and creativity Strong integrity Comfortable managing high levels of complexity Versatile and innovative mindset Strong prioritization skills

The Wood Panel Process Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of wood fiber composite panel manufacturing processes. This role ensures that all formulations provide adequate manufacturability while meeting required product performance specifications and quality standards. The Composite Panel Process Engineer will collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, research, and quality teams to optimize product performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
