Responsibilities
- Deliver and manage a team focused on assisting our clients through a corporate transaction event (such as merger and acquisition, divestiture, or IPO) from a tax and operational perspective focused on employee reward, including identifying and analyzing tax and operational matters that may contribute to tax exposure, drafting technical memorandums, mapping and designing post-transaction operational processes and compliance, executive and employee communications, post-transaction integration of compensation, benefits and share-based compensation programs worldwide; perform these responsibilities outside deal context as necessary.
- Cultivate and maintain senior-level client relationships; advise and deliver on technical, compliance and operational matters with a high level of accountability for quality service delivery, driving project management, and anticipating client needs.
- Lead engagement teams on daily service delivery and operations, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of compliance and consulting services.
- Manage quality, risk, and financial performance of engagements, including team assignments, timely billing, collections, and budget management.
- Collaborate with external and internal clients and perform business development activities cross-functionally, including active participation in firm events.
- Coach and mentor other tax professionals; responsible for the development and motivation of the engagement team.
Qualifications
Minimum seven years of recent experience in employer benefits strategies; preferred experience in at least three of the following areas : total rewards and benefits, global compensation and equity sourcing and taxation, domestic and global employment tax compliance and consulting, Mergers and Acquisitions advisory, executive compensation and compensation integration, mobility tax compliance and consulting, corporate taxation, ASC 718, ASC 740, share-based compensation delivery and data and analytics.Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field required. Law degree is a plus.Licensed CPA, EA, JD / LLM or completion of one of the advanced degrees or professional designations (MBA, ASOA, ENR ACT, FSA, CBP, CCP, CEBS, CPP, GPHR, PHR, SPHR, etc.); if not possessed at hire, must obtain at least one designation within one year of employment. Your recruiter can provide the complete list of currently approved designations / credentials.Strong project management skills with experience leading multiple large, complex, multinational client engagements and teams; ability to prioritize projects, anticipate client needs, identify and develop opportunities, and foster client relationships with technical and operational proficiency.Ability to reimagine and convey innovative ideas, approaches, and solutions in people, processes and technology to meet client needs, while remaining flexible and adaptable to change.Excellent advisory, quantitative, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and deliver high-quality results with attention to detail.Compensation, Benefits and Compliance

California Salary Range : $115,400 - $237,700
