About the Role :
- Location : Camarillo, CA
- Contract Term : Immediate start, continuing through the end of the current school year
- Hours : Full-time
Key Responsibilities :
- Work closely under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement therapeutic plans and activities.
- Assist students in meeting their therapy goals to improve their ability to perform daily activities and achieve more independence.
- Provide support in various educational settings, adapting to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy practices with students' educational objectives.
- Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings to provide updates on therapy outcomes.
Ideal Candidate :
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in California.
- Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and families.
- A strong commitment to enhancing the educational experiences and quality of life for students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
