Job descriptionShift Coverage : Scheduled + No Call Shift Schedule : Standard 5, 8‑Hour 08 : 00 – 16 : 00 Facility Type : Acute Care Hospital Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, neurodegenerative diseases and multiple sclerosis. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs, EMGs and lumbar punctures. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide emergency care and manage critical situations effectively. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records. Comprehensive knowledge of neurological diseases and disorders, and their diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Ability to interpret complex neurological data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in performing and interpreting neurological assessments and procedures. Collaborative skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams. Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Residency training program in neurology accredited by ACGME or AOA. Fellowship in a subspecialty of neurology may be required. Board certification in neurology by ABPN or AOBNP. Active and unrestricted medical license in Oregon. Most positions prefer at least one year of clinical experience providing care in a neurological setting. Locum tenens positions are temporary assignments lasting weeks or months. Positions offer competitive pay and flexible schedules. Some states may have additional practice requirements; familiarize with Oregon regulations. Qualifications and educational requirements may vary for sub‑specialties.
