Summary
The Manufacturing Supervisor position is responsible for supervising shop employees in an assembly or parts producing environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The supervisor will strive to maintain high employee morale and will respond diligently and effectively with any personnel issues. The supervisor recommends and assists in the continuous improvement of the Ferno Wilmington operation, playing a key role within the Wilmington Site management team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of the assigned departments and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department. The supervisor is responsible for the general day-to-day operations of assigned departments.
This is a full-time exempt position. Normal hours of work are Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work as job duties demand.
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree in technical or business field of study or equivalent experience.
