About The Position

Certifications : BLS (AHA) required

Must-Have :

Must be willing to work with a variety of staff including RNs, LPNs, and Techs.

Previous charge experience is a plus.

Description :

Locals within 50 miles are accepted.

Travel experience is required.

Will consider ER experience.

This is a 10 bed overflow unit.

Patient-to-nurse ratios typically run 1 : 4-5.

If there is an RN / LPN team, ratios can go up to 1 : 7.

Focus is on constant reassessment of patient readiness for discharge.

The unit will be rapidly admitting and discharging patients.

Holiday requests will not be accepted, but dates may be discussed with management.

Floating to other medical surgical units is required.

Weekend work is expected every other weekend.

A variety of patients are seen in this unit and other medical surgical units.

Staff includes RNs, LPNs, Techs, and others.

Floating typically occurs once per week based on need.

There is no guarantee that holiday time off requests will be accepted.

Vaccination for flu is required, with medical exemptions only.

Modules are non-billable and must be completed annually.
