Accounting Manager
Lead the accounting function in a dynamic manufacturing environment, overseeing multi-year Department of Defense and commercial contracts. Offer guidance on bids for new contracts, assisting in negotiations, bidding processes, indirect rate formation and audit support. Oversee month-end close and manage timely, accurate financial reporting, optimizing processes for efficiency. Establish procedures, controls, and utilize reporting systems to enhance the accounting department's efficiency and accuracy. Ensure compliance by monitoring and enforcing policies, internal controls, and safeguarding assets. Support the VP of Finance in the preparation of the 5 Year Strategic Plan and Annual budgets. Enhance financial controls and reporting systems in line with industry standards, laws, and regulations. Educate line and project managers within the business in ensuring that correct financial procedures are followed. Ensure that all areas of the business understand the financial implications of decisions they take. Manage, develop, train, appraise and motivate the team within the Finance Department.
Bachelor's degree in accounting. 12+ years of related accounting experience with 7+ years supervisory / manager experience. 5+ years manufacturing experience. This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. Leverage standard cost accounting and finance management knowledge to collaborate with the executive team. Proficient in general accounting theory-Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Solid communication, technology, and interpersonal skills. Experience with ERP implementations. Experience in Project Cost Accounting. Strong MS Office skills with expert-level knowledge in financial reporting systems (Deltek Costpoint, Great Plains, Visibility or Epicor).
Base Salary Range : $160,000 - $190,000 USD (Annually) Please note, this is the expected compensation however, ESCO Maritime Solutions considers many factors in determining compensation prior to office, such as : responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
