\n\nLabor & Delivery RN Job Details\n \n

  • Location : Ellsworth, ME 04605 (Maine nursing jobs)\n
  • Healthcare Setting : Level III Nursery, OB Unit\n
  • Contract Duration : 13-week travel nursing assignment (Start : 9 / 15 / 2025 – End : 12 / 13 / 2025)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)\n
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week\n
  • Weekend & Holiday Rotation : Every other weekend and holiday\n
  • Charting System : Cerner EMR\n
  • Free Parking : Yes\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $2310 - $2470 per week\n

    • \n\nLabor & Delivery RN Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (first-time travelers : 3+ years L&D experience preferred)\n
  • Active Registered Nurse license (RN license)\n
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required\n
  • Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification\n
  • STABLE certification (must be completed within 30 days of start)\n
  • Proficient in all phases of LDRP care : Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum, and newborn care\n
  • Experience with shoulder dystocia, epidural management, nitrous oxide administration, intrathecal spinal analgesia\n
  • Ability to provide neonatal care during C-sections (no circulating required)\n
  • Comfortable caring for low acuity Med / Surg overflow patients\n

    • \n\nLabor & Delivery RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in an LDRP setting\n
  • Manage antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum / couplet care\n
  • Care for well babies, including vital signs, thermoregulation, hypoglycemia, bilirubin monitoring, and NAS babies\n
  • Respond to postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and other OB emergencies\n
  • Support low acuity Med / Surg overflow patients (IV antibiotics, swing bed, rehab)\n
  • Collaborate with midwives, OB / GYNs, charge nurses, and other hospital staff\n
  • Float to Med / Surg or ED for tasks (no patient assignment)\n
  • Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR\n
