Summary

The Drywall Estimator / APM is responsible for accurately estimating the materials, labor, and costs required to successfully complete projects, by downloading architectural and structural blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

As well as creating quality take-offs, and collaborating with vendors to give our clients the most accurate price for the project.

Additionally, they assist the Project Managers in overseeing various aspects of the project. Project Coordination including scheduling, procurement of materials, and resource allocation are just a few of the many requirements of the APM role.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements :

• Explore drawings, and blueprints to gain a deep understanding for the scope of the project.
• Maintain CRM Software, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements dictated by the General Contractor.
• Conducts effective customer follow-ups.
• Participates in pre and post-bid meetings as required.
• Maintains client relations by being the lead contact of proposals for clients.
• Works with the Foreperson to plan, organize, and direct construction activities.
• Prepares budgets for labor, materials, and the project itself pertaining to our scope of work.
• Prepares project documentation.
• Identifies any budget issues to the Project Manager and Project Executives.
• Prepares and tracks change order requests.
• Manages project performance data and formulates progress reports.
• Selects, measures, and tracks important metrics.
• Visit sites, warehouses, and other venues necessary to do the estimate.
• Performs complex analysis of collected data and metrics.
• Prepares relevant and reliable forecasts.
• Conducts complex risk analysis activities.
• Creates and presents reports to upper management.
• Analyzes and evaluates offers.
• Builds and maintains long-term relationships with key vendors.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or 5 plus years experience in Estimating (preferred)
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and / or drawings.
• Proficient in using OST & QuickBid, Bluebeam, BIM 360, eSub, or MS Project, Google Sheets / Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of OHSA Rules.
• In-depth knowledge of project management practices.
• Hands-on experience with complex data research activities.
• Strong understanding of data analysis methods and KPIs.
• Good time-management skills; ability to multi-task.
• Critical thinker and problem-solver.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment : The role is mostly in the office, with a small amount of time offsite for Job Walkthroughs & Site Visits.
