Are you an experienced APP looking for a summer locums assignment in beautiful northern Michigan? We're seeking 1-2 skilled Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PA) for a Cardiothoracic Surgery inpatient role in Petoskey, MI.

Why This Role Stands Out:

• ⏰ Day Shift + On-Call Model: Arrive around 6:00–6:30 AM, typically done by 3:00 PM. After that, you’re on Pager call for the rest of the night.

• 🏨 Inpatient Only: Includes ICU, OR rounding, and vein harvesting. No clinic duties.

• 🚗 Complimentary Travel & Lodging: Lodging, mileage, and rental car covered (up to $150/day with receipts).

• 🩺 Malpractice Insurance Provided – comprehensive coverage included.

• 💬 Submit Your Own Rate: Pay is negotiable. Submit your profile with your expected rate.

• 🌄 Enjoy Northern Michigan: Great summer location near the Great Lakes with scenic views and outdoor activities.

Position Details:

• Start Date: Around 30 days after acceptance (time for credentialing)

• Schedule: 8-hour on-site shifts followed by call coverage until next morning

• Call Volume: Reasonable and manageable; APP takes first call

• Must Have:

  • Active Michigan License

  • Board Certification

  • Vein harvesting experience (must be noted)

  • ICU and inpatient experience preferred

  • COVID vaccinated

  • Clean background – no exceptions

  • Willingness to provide immunization records (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, TB, TDAP, Flu, COVID)

Additional Notes:

• DEA confirmation required at name clear

• Local Michigan providers highly preferred
