CIS Secure will be leading a multi-year program in partnership with an industry Integrator to deliver a next-generation secure communication system for aircraft operations. Based in Ashburn, VA, this initiative will produce a ruggedized, military-grade VOIP solution that enables secure voice and data communication across multiple classified domains. The program spans the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis and preliminary design through prototyping, integration, and verification testing, executed under AS6500, AS9100, and CMMI standards. The Supply Chain Manager will serve as a main figure in the procurement, planning, inventory, warehousing and logistics functions. CIS designs and manufactures a wide range of products, which include secure telephones (under the TSG protocol), secure computers, encrypted tactical communication systems, secure tele- and video-conferencing systems, and a variety of specialty systems used in secure networks.

Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the duties and responsibilities outlined below, as well as additional tasks as assigned :

• Manage procurement, planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics functions to support production and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-1686 for ESD-sensitive components across supply chain activities, including storage, packaging, and handling.
• Oversee supplier selection, performance, and qualification, ensuring suppliers meet aerospace and defense standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and demand forecasts to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure timely material availability and smooth workflow.
• Coordinate material handling and packaging procedures that comply with military specifications and internal ESD protocols.
• Support internal and external audits, including those related to DoD or aerospace compliance requirements.
• Track and report on supply chain KPIs including on-time delivery, supplier quality, lead times, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and ensure documentation supports traceability and regulatory compliance.

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for the advertised job, promotion, or transfer opportunity. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. The actual salary offered may vary based on various factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, education, geographic location, as well as internal equity, and alignment to market data.

Pay Range : $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
