Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join the dynamic surgical team at a premier academic medical center. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both circulating and scrubbing duties across multiple surgical specialties, providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

~ Work Schedule : ~ Full-time position

~ Days|Evenings

~ Mix of 4x8-hour shifts (07 : 00-15 : 30, 11 : 00-19 : 30, 15 : 00-23 : 30) and 4x12-hour shifts (07 : 00-19 : 30, 11 : 00-23 : 30)

~ 80 hours biweekly

~ Monday-Friday, with every 3rd weekend required

Qualifications

~ Education : Graduate of an accredited nursing program

~ Licensure : Active New York State RN license; BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)

~ Experience : Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience required

~ Technical Skills : Proficiency in general, ortho, trauma, neuro, and robotics cases; must be able to scrub and circulate

~ Soft Skills : Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills; ability to work effectively in high-pressure surgical environments

Key Responsibilities

~ Perform circulating and scrubbing duties in various surgical procedures

~ Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies

~ Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout procedures

~ Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes

~ Document patient care accurately and completely

~ Manage operating room equipment and inventory
