Job Description

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather essential information for estimating purposes. Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify cost factors and develop competitive bids. Track and maintain historical cost data to improve future estimating accuracy. Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize project budgets and designs. Assist in negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Present estimates and cost breakdowns to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner. Stay updated on current market trends, pricing, and construction methods.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sr. Estimator should have :

• A strong background in commercial construction and cost estimating.
• Experience with estimating : hard bid, conceptual, CM-@-risk, etc.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to develop accurate estimates.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
• Experience with estimating software and tools commonly used in the industry.
• A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
