Staff Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. This position is within the manufacturing industry and offers a contract to permanent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual seeking career growth.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Manage sales tax calculations and filings, addressing any discrepancies promptly.

Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

Generate ad hoc financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and reports.

Coordinate and support financial audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.

Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are complete.

Requirements :

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

Proficiency in corporate tax, including preparation and filing of returns.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Ability to generate accurate financial reports and conduct detailed analyses.

Experience with financial audits and compliance requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
