Our work depends on a Ship Integration & Test (SI&T) Senior Design Engineer/ Integrator joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities.

As a SI&T Senior Design Engineer/ Integrator supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. This senior position will be tied to both Program Management and Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development and integration of the technical products (Space Arrangements, Electrical Products, HVAC impacts, Electrical impacts, Electronic Cooling Water impacts, etc.) that comprise a complete Technical Data Package (TDP). Interfaces with the government sponsor to take direction on products requiring development and keeps the government POC informed of progress and TDP delivery dates. Organizes design agent’s resources to ensure effective production of goods and/or services. Provides work direction, resolves problems, prepares schedules, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Prepares reports and records for the government as required. Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage the development of TDPs.
- Integrate the products into a complete TDP.
- Interface with the government sponsor.
- Prepare reports that provide a status of TDP developments.
- Ensure all components of the TDP are being developed.
- Develop Power Point presentations as required.
- Participate in meetings and phone conferences.
- Assist in the resolution of Combat System space arrangement issues occurring on the waterfront during equipment installations.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- A Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field or equivalent years of experience (4 years of additional equivalent experience can be substituted for a BA/BS)
- Over fifteen (15+) years of experience as an Design Engineer/Integrator for large ships
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector
- A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.
- US Citizenship is required

The likely salary range for this position is $106,371 - $177,632. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
