The purpose of the position is to provide office assistance to Music Program faculty in general and specifically Dr. David Morrow, Academic Program Director and Director of the Glee Club.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide clerical assistance (filing, copying, taking and delivering messages, errands)
- Help to manage appointment schedules
- Provide assistance in scheduling rehearsals, performances and events of the Glee Club
- Being able to discuss details with concert sponsors
- Assistance with ordering music and creating arrangements, study scores, part recordings to aid in music learning
- Assistance in managing and handling the logistics of the faculty and student office spaces
Position Description Work-Study Office Location On Campus Position Accessibility In the office, Remote Position Availability Fall, Spring Select the days that are available for students to work and put the hours that are available for students to work (examples 9am-5pm, 9am-12pm & 4pm-6pm) Saturday - TBA as needed, Sunday - TBA as needed, Monday - 9am-8pm, Tuesday - 9am-6pm, Wednesday - 9am-6pm, Thursday - 9am-6pm, Friday - 9am-6 pm General Qualifications
- Sophomore, junior or senior
- Speak well and write well
- Must be dependable, efficient and organized
- Must be self motivated
- General knowledge of music
Specific Qualifications
- Needs to know Microsoft Office Suite
- Needs to understand office, phone, and email etiquette
- Needs experience with Music score writing programs (ex. Finale)
- Some knowledge of Music recording programs.
