The General Manager's primary purpose is to develop restaurant management and hourly staff to build and increase sales over the previous year and improve profitability, while ensuring employee and guest satisfaction, without compromising the integrity or culture of the concept. The General Manager is responsible for the success of the operation within their control.
Essential duties include :
- Supporting the mission, vision, and values of First Watch Restaurants
- Developing and maintaining a culture of accountability, integrity, service, and trust
- Developing a management team for future growth
- Providing management coverage and direct supervision of operations
- Exercising basic shift-to-shift financial control
- Providing hands-on leadership when working in unit
- Working all positions and providing team feedback daily
- Providing efficient and professional service to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Ensuring all policies, procedures, and training for team members are being followed
- Setting standards so the restaurant maintains the highest level of cleanliness
- Supervising food handling procedures and operational processes
- Ensuring safe working conditions as required by OSHA and federal, state, and local governing bodies
- Managing all internal / external communications in a timely and effective manner
- Ensuring unit has proper supplies while maintaining period budget
- Providing hands on leadership when working in units
- Working positions and providing feedback
- Checking weekly schedules to ensure they are written correctly and posted on time
- Working with marketing on initiative rollouts and event preparation
- Participating in bi-weekly manager meetings to set and enforce standards
- Holding training classes at units
- Holding LTO product training classes at the units before the product live date
- Participating in unit staff meetings
- Overseeing team member certifications
- Checking weekly paperwork to ensure accuracy of invoices, Safe Sign off, Tip out report, DSR, labor reports and anything else required by the office before it is turned in
- Participating in writing yearly budgets with COO, Controller and management team
- Reviewing P&Ls with team each period

4 years management in a full-service restaurant2 years experience as a General ManagerBlack Hat or Black Apron certified for internal promotionsCan work in a high stress environmentHeavy kitchen experienceProficient in Microsoft Office productsOrganizedAbility to motivate and develop team membersGood written and verbal communication skillsTime management skills and ability to multitaskAbility to make good decisions and find alternative solutionsBenefits include :
