Excess & Surplus Underwriter

A company is looking for an Excess & Surplus Call Center Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

Review and evaluate new and renewal submissions to determine risk acceptability, pricing, and coverage terms

Prepare and issue quotes on eligible business while ensuring accuracy and compliance with underwriting standards

Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers to secure and retain profitable accounts

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent insurance industry experience

2-4 years of experience in E&S or commercial underwriting, brokerage, or a related insurance role

Solid understanding of E&S market dynamics, rating, and coverage structures

Proven ability to prepare and present accurate, competitive quotes within underwriting guidelines

Familiarity with underwriting authority structures (LOA) and risk referral processes
