Controller - Venture Capital

Controller Position

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will oversee the accounting for venture capital funds, collaborate closely with a third-party fund administrator, and manage tasks related to portfolio company investments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Responsibilities include overseeing partnership accounting for venture capital funds, analyzing and monitoring the financial performance of portfolio companies, developing and maintaining reporting systems, and supporting the administration of specialized programs. You will also prepare reports, presentations, and materials to support fundraising efforts and annual meetings, coordinate with external auditors, ensure tax compliance, assist with valuation modeling and waterfall calculations, and manage capital calls, distributions, and investor inquiries. Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee partnership accounting and quarterly close for multiple funds
• Manage quarterly and annual reporting with fund administrators and external auditors
• Support portfolio valuation and investor reporting processes
• Assist with capital calls, distributions, and tax compliance
• Partner with leadership on fund performance analytics, ESG reporting, and special projects
