About the Job :

We seek an n-of-1 individual at the forefront of technology, venture, and healthcare who is passionate about how AI will revolutionize the worldwide practice and infrastructure of medicine. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building from first principles, has deep conviction around how AI will reshape healthcare, and is excited by the challenge of leading multiple ventures from the ground up.

What You'll Do :

In this leadership role, you will :

Work alongside world-class founders to build enduring, transformative health AI companies that serve millions of patients and providers around the world.

Maintain and expand a network of high-impact partnerships with top universities, technology companies, government agencies, investors, and healthcare entities around the world.

Develop and actualize deep market insights about how emerging technologies will reshape healthcare delivery and outcomes around the world.

Manage a portfolio of companies across all areas of healthcare, providing their leaders with expert product, technology, and commercial guidance.

Continually sublimate your differentiated knowledge and relationships into LLM-enabled technical systems so that your impact can scale globally.

Enjoy wide-ranging autonomy and leverage our resources and committed capital to pursue bold, original theses in healthcare and AI.

You will join a global team, reporting to the Head of Technology.

What You’ll Need :

You have 8+ years of combined experience across :

Founding or scaling (health) technology companies as a CEO, CTO, or in another technical executive role

Software or AI building and leadership at early-stage startups

Investing at a top venture / PE / hedge fund with a focus on AI or health technology

You hold a degree in a technical field like computer science, math, physics, or engineering and have stayed at the forefront of AI advances through publishing research or building technology.

You engage actively with the technology, startup, and venture communities and have a credible network of founders, builders, and investors.

You’ve had formative experiences around outstanding people in high-performing environments like a top university or company.

Building startups is one of your passions, but you have found deep meaning in some other pursuit to which you’ve devoted your time, thought, and effort; for example a creative or athletic outlet, clinical practice, or family business.

Who You Are :

Technology Innovator : You have a track record of proactively leveraging AI and other emerging technology tools to create extraordinary productivity and impact within your role. You have built systems and workflows for yourself more sophisticated than basic ChatGPT / LLM usage and are constantly experimenting with new ways to use technology to disrupt yourself.

This role will be a great fit if many of the following deeply resonate :

You’re well networked with successful technology or healthcare founders who seek out and trust your advice.

You’re constantly refining mental models and theses on the convergence of AI and healthcare, and have conviction in at least one area where you believe most people are wrong.

You have a technical or scientific background that affords you a perspective on and taste in healthcare AI that most in the industry are missing.

You have strong and specific views on how LLMs will change how great startups are built.

You have a proven track record of making good technical decisions in uncertain environments; you are a systems thinker and true builder who can credibly guide founding teams to success.

You have approached LLM tools with wonder and have personally built things that have made your and others’ lives better that you could never have imagined a few years ago.

You are profoundly motivated to transform global healthcare and see technology and company building as the true calling through which you can better the world.

You have accomplished something that most people haven’t : whether you started a company, won a notable academic award, performed music around the world, or overcame difficult circumstances to succeed, it is clear that you have dedicated your life to pursuing excellence in your craft.

Additional Information :

This position will be based out of either NYC or San Francisco. Full-time base salary of $198,000 to $240,000 plus a market-leading carry & benefits package. The expected base pay range for this position is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
