Medical Assistant 4 days per week - Primary Care

Southwoods Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Primary Care office in New Middletown, Ohio. The Medical Assistant will work with his / her team and partners with the physician and / or other health care professionals to evaluate and provide direction to comprehensive, quality patient care. Is trained and responsible for performing a wide range of skilled administrative and clinical duties.

Essential Duties :

• Create a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment for patients and visitors through exceptional customer service.
• Rooms patients in a timely manner utilizing two patient identifiers.
• Obtain and record vital signs, major complaint, medications and allergies in patient chart.
• Collect various specimens by following proper specimen collection, storing and recording protocols.
• Prepare lab specimen in timely manner for transport to hospital lab by maintaining positive specimen identification throughout processing.
• Report and record patient critical lab values, adverse reactions, and pertinent information promptly to physician and team members.
• Able to schedule appointments, answer phones, filing, maintain medical records, and other administrative duties as assigned.
• Recognizes patients' rights and responsibilities and supports them in performance of job duties.
• Ensure all processes at responsible physician practice maintains compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

4 days per week : Monday 8 : 00am-6 : 30pm, Tuesday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm, Wednesday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm, Friday 8am-5 : 30pm.
