WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Join our dynamic team in Operational Risk Management (ORM), where we provide independent oversight of risks arising from our business processes, people, systems, and external events. As the Fraud Oversight Manager, you will collaborate with the Enterprise Risk Manager for Fraud and Payment Systems to monitor and enhance operational risk programs across assigned business units. This role will involve assessing and reporting on critical operational risk information, offering valuable insights that strengthen our risk management framework.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Collaborate with business units to establish a comprehensive understanding of the bank’s risk profile and risk appetite.
- Review and assess operational risk practices to ensure alignment with our operational risk framework and policies.
- Identify and understand existing and emerging risks within assigned business units to maintain adherence to risk appetite.
- Evaluate risk monitoring, reporting, and control management activities to ensure effective compliance with operational risk governance.
- Challenge and review new business initiatives and risk acceptances to ensure complete risk assessments.
- Engage in proactive oversight of regulatory compliance and issue management processes.
- Lead the preparation of status reports and performance metrics for ORM reporting to management and committees.
- Stay updated on regulatory trends impacting operational risk management practices.
- Act as an advisor to business units regarding ORM frameworks, ensuring successful implementation and adherence to policies.
- Foster strong relationships across departments to identify, analyze, and manage operational risk opportunities effectively.
- Contribute to talent development through mentoring and training initiatives.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.At least 10 years in the financial services industry, with a focus on risk management.A minimum of 7 years’ experience in operational risk management, compliance, or audit.5 years of experience in control assessment and validation.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Professional qualifications such as CPA or CIA are a plus.In-depth knowledge of OCC regulations and risk management structures.Exceptional understanding of internal control processes, issue management, and resolving operational risks.Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence effectively.Ability to navigate complexity and strengthen collaborative efforts across teams.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Compensation : Starting base salary ranges from $99,000 to $176,000, depending on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses.
