Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a qualified Business Development Manager to be a key stakeholder in growing the Air Traffic Control portfolio in North America. As an Account Manager, you will be part of a team dedicated to enabling our customers to solve complex technical problems through a solutions-based sales approach. The position will be responsible for selling communication and critical infrastructure solutions primarily to our US Government customer base including, but not limited to, FAA and DoD. This position is based in the greater Virginia / DC / Baltimore area. US citizenship is required for this position.
Your tasks
- Understand customer needs and identify how Rohde & Schwarz products can provide technical solutions
- Cultivate new customer relationships and develop into lasting partnerships
- Expand and grow existing customer relationships
- Grow market share and exceed quota
- Build and manage a strong sales funnel
- Ensure accurate and timely tracking of business opportunities and customer contacts via customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Work closely with other account managers, business development managers, program management, product line management, engineering and other core functional leaders across the segment and corporate organizational structure.

BA / BS Business, Management, Engineering, Technology Systems or equivalent technical education / operational experience5+ years of technical sales experienceExpertise in civil / military air traffic control communication systems, including Voice Communications Switches (VCS) and HF / VHF / UHF radios is a mustExperience working with US Government prime system contractors / integratorsExperience developing new business opportunities with the Federal Aviation Administration and other Federal agenciesIn depth knowledge of Federal Government requirements and acquisition processesExperience with both large and small account managementPossess strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration and cross-functional leadership skills.Self-motivated to learn and understand internal and customer processesAbility to travel regularly, 50% or more, both domestic and internationallyTo be considered, candidates must have US citizenship .Interested?

The total compensation for this position is $110K-$230K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
