Duties / Responsibilities :

Driftmier Front Desk Student Receptionist :

• Welcoming visitors to the Driftmier Engineering Center
• Answer general questions from students, faculty, staff
• Assist with New Student Orientation
• Assist, as needed, with College of Engineering events
• Answer incoming calls, directing to the appropriate party
• Sort and organize mail

Position Summary :

This position will support the College of Engineering with front desk / lobby functions. The incumbent will assist the CENGR Operations Team in Driftmier Engineering Center, focusing on welcoming guests, and answering questions from visitors and students, as well as staff and / or faculty when applicable.

Relevant / Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position :

Students with an aptitude for customer service and / or previous experience in a service field or industry preferred, but not required for the position.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and / or Competencies :

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially while engaging with customers at the desk.

Physical Demands :

Standard for an office environment. May involve lifting up to 25 pounds.
