Assembly Pay Rate and Hours :

• $17.50 / hr
• Friday-Sunday 5am-6 : 30pm, OT as required

Assembly Purpose :

Performs a variety of assembly / disassembly and fastening / unfastening of parts larger than hand using tools; fit, bolt, cut or otherwise connect components and equipment according to specifications.

Prepare surfaces for paint application.

Assembly Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

• Prepares weld area appropriately to result in good weld penetration and meets structural integrity criteria
• Collaborates with peers to accomplish projects or tasks
• Develops and maintains relationships with peers and customers
• Participates in group discussions and meetings
• Perform checks on product and process
• Assure material integrity by routine inspection by following established procedures and quality processes and specifications
• Assure piece and work output meet specifications
• Sort and separate defective materials and parts
• Assembles / disassemble and fasten / unfasten parts larger than hand using tools; fit, bolt, weld, cut or otherwise connect components and equipment according to specifications
• Assemble / disassemble small parts not requiring precision alignment or small tolerances
• Assemble / disassemble small parts requiring precision alignment and small tolerances
• Performs any other assigned task

Assembly Basic Requirements :

• At least 3 months of mechanical hand tools or power tools work experience
• Must be able to comprehend the English language

Assembly Additional Requirements :

• Ability to read and follow work procedures
• Ability to work in areas that are hard to reach and in awkward positions
• Ability to stand, crouch, and climb 10 hours per day (in addition to overtime) in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with intermittent noise, fumes, solvents, and paints
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and work around moving vehicles, on ladders and scaffolding, below ground level, with vibratory tools

Assembly Desired Skills :

• Hand tool experience using wrenches, clamps, benders, and box knives
• Power tool experience using power drills and fastening tools
• Ability to achieve high-performance goals with changing work directions
