This position supports compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations , Arizona Revised Statutes , Arizona Administrative Code , HIPAA (1996) , and the AHCCCS / DDD contract by ensuring that all member medical records are properly maintained, accessible, and retained in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
Working in a warehouse environment, this role requires minimal supervision and focuses on ensuring that all records meet the required retention and quality standards. The incumbent will :
- Organize, log, shelve, and maintain incoming files daily.
- Perform quality checks on received records to ensure compliance before assigning storage locations.
- Identify records for digitization and ensure digitized files meet established standards.
- Retrieve and track records in response to requests, ensuring proper return and reprocessing.
- Prepare and box files for scanning and assist in the approved destruction of paper records once digitization is complete.
- Support the Records Supervisor with special projects related to records storage and maintenance.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, typing, and operating office equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with HIP nd other applicable privacy and retention regulations.
