Responsibilities
Assist in obtaining and reviewing information and approvals for processing of shop drawings, product data, and samples and assist in communication of information across all levels of the project team.Assist in managing other aspects of communication including submissions and responses for Requests for Information (RFI's).Assist in preparing estimates for changes in work including review of Change Order requests from subcontractors.Study contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.Assist in maintenance and updates of contract documents, electronic web-based documents, and project logs.Distribute information required for construction to appropriate parties.Assist Engineering to ensure materials and equipment are released for fabrication or manufacture in time to meet construction schedule.Assist in preparation of final records for project including close-out documents, Operations / Maintenance (OM) Manuals, and other related documentation.Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.Field Engineer – Position Description
The Field Engineer position will be assigned to the field operations team and will assist in obtaining, evaluating and coordinating all information needed to construct the project in accordance with the contract documents and to assure that the work meets all safety standards, is within schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest level of quality possible. The Field Engineer, in the performance of its duties, shall be responsible for the protection and promotion of Turner's interests and all related matters.
Reports To : Project Superintendent or Superintendents
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform line and grade work for building layout and control as required.Assist in the implementation of the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner safety standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.Assist in the maintenance of contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations.Assist in the preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs).Review all work as it is being placed to ensure accuracy within accepted tolerances.Review contract drawings, specifications and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation.Assist in the preparation of project as-builts.Perform other duties as may be assigned.Qualifications
Field Engineer :
Two years of college education from an accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction, or relevant education; building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing; proficient with computer applications required to perform responsibilities.Basic understanding of scheduling programs preferred.Engineering Assistant :
Two years of college education from an accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction, or relevant education; building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team; demonstrates initiative and desire to learn.Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing; proficient with computer applications, data entry, and Microsoft suite.Basic understanding of scheduling programs desired.Physical Demands

Work Environment
The work environment varies between field construction sites and office / remote settings. On-site work may expose employees to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. Noise levels are usually moderate to very loud in construction areas.
